9.30 am Registration and coffee
10.00 am Nrich - Come to this highly popular session from NRICH, a team of qualified teachers who are also practitioners in rich mathematical thinking. Explore their free enrichment material for all ages and across the ability range, and see how it links to the curriculum. Take away new ideas for the classroom.
11.30 am Coffee
11.50 am UKMT - Learn about how experienced teaching professionals (who also volunteer and help run various UKMT activities) use UKMT resources in the classroom to help inspire and engage learners. Be prepared to have a go at some mathematics with a focus on problem solving!
1.00 pm Lunch
1.50 pm Guest speaker - Matt Parker Originally a maths teacher from Australia, Matt now lives in London and works both as a stand-up comedian and a maths communicator. This involves spreading his love of maths via books, radio programmes, TV shows, newspapers, school visits, live comedy shows and occasionally harassing people in the street. Matt is also the Public Engagement in Mathematics Fellow at Queen Mary University of London.
